Set of 12 Large Early Limbert Clip Corner Arm Chairs, Model 533, original finish, signed early paper label 1902 to 1905

An unusually large grouping of an uncommon and desirable Limbert arm chair featuring large through tenons in the clip-cornered arms, tacked leather spring seat & back, & heavy construction typical of early pieces. An un-compromised & bold example of some of the early work of the Arts & Crafts movement. The upholstered & angled back of the chair make it as comfortable as it is strong. Only one chair has been upholstered as an example, the group is available with choice of high quality leather or Arts & Crafts fabric. Each chair is in original finish and in very good condition. Most are signed with the earlier of the early paper labels, circa 1902-1905. This form seldom appears on the market and I doubt a set as large as this has ever been found. They would be an excellent group for a large conference or dining table. If desired, we can duplicate a table design or design a match for the chairs upon request. Each chair measures: Photographed standing on one of our many quality Arts & Crafts carpets of New Zealand wool, certified free of child labor.
